Description
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 475 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.

Project Data
A collaborative project of higher education institutions to monitor biodiversity on all campuses at Rennes with a participative approach.
| Title | BioBlitz on Rennes campuses |
|---|---|
| Identifier | BioBlitz Rennes Campus |
| Funding | All involved higher education institutions contribute to funding. |
| Study Area Description | Green spaces in highly urbanized campus areas. |
| Design Description | Using a participative approach, sampling involves established research protocols and standardized citizen science protocols as well as opportunistic observations. |
The personnel involved in the project:
- Originator

Sampling Methods
Standardized citizen science protocols, classical research methods and opportunistic observations were used for sampling.
| Study Extent | The various campus habitats were mapped and sampling zones within each campus were designated. Sampling occurs during each BioBlitz event, nevertheless during each BioBlitz event the sampling frequency is random. |
|---|---|
| Quality Control | Non-expert participants in the BioBlitz were accompanied by naturalists and researchers. Collating the biodiversity data was implemented or supervised by the experts. |
Method step description:
- The first step was the observation in the field, collecting specimens and identifying species using micrsoscopes and field guides. The second step was collecting data by the experts. And the third step was collating, verifying and formatting the data in the file.
