Description
A checklist of all extant species recorded in Kulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary, Preah Vihear Province, Cambodia. The dataset includes Khmer vernacular names.
Data Records
The data in this checklist resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 601 records.

Project Data
Kulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary (KPWS) was established by Government Sub-decree in 1993 and has been under the management of the Ministry of Environment (MoE) since its formation. Its total area is 402,500 ha. Approximately 240,000 ha of KPWS is located within Preah Vihear Province, the remainder is in Oddar Meanchey and Siem Reap provinces. WCS supports the conservation of KPWS in the portion located within Preah Vihear Province. It consists of a unique mosaic of different habitats comprised of deciduous dipterocarp forest, semi-evergreen forest, evergreen forest and seasonally flooded grasslands. The site is supported by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Cambodia program.
