This occurrence dataset presents the observations of Apoidea in New Caledonia (a French overseas territory) we performed during the last five years (2017-2022). This dataset forms the core for the updated checklist of New Caledonian bees we submitted in the Biodiversity Data Journal by the same authors (Zakardjian et al. Checklist of the bees (Hymenoptera, Apoidea) of New Caledonia, Biodiversity Data Journal, submitted). In this data set we present new occurrences, notably in remote locations such as oceanic islands of Ouvéa, Tiga and Belep. Each specimen is identified to the species level and the sex is provided when possible. We hope to provide regular updates of this dataset in the future.
