Description
This dataset is a databased part of the bird collection from the Musée des Confluences (Lyon) which contains more than 30,000 specimens. The collection of Dr. Hubert Bonnetain were donated to the Musée des Confluences in 2018. It includes ab. 5,400 specimens with 3,500 mounted birds and 2,000 skins, in particular the historic specimens of Hemery, the founder of the Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux (LPO) and a diorama worked by Roland Ward. These specimens come from all over the world.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 5,430 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
