Description
Cet herbier rassemble des plantes récoltées par Pennel, Commandant du pénitencier de Bourail entre 1888 et 1897. Elles furent récoltées vers 1894, dans un rayon d’une 20aine de km autour de Bourail. Cet herbier comprend probablement quelques planches récoltées par A. Jeanneney agent de cultures, fonctionnaire de l’administration pénitentiaire en Nouvelle-Calédonie missionné en 1893-1894 par le sous secrétariat d’Etat des Colonies à la demande de E. Heckel.
Cette collection a été inventoriée grâce à une subvention du Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche pour l’Informatisation des collections scientifiques patrimoniales (AAP 2022).
