The data in this sampling event resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 511 records.

Sampling Methods

Most of the samples in this dataset were acquired by underwater devices. For information on the sampling description of each cruise, please consult the French Oceanographic Cruises catalog : https://campagnes.flotteoceanographique.fr/search

Method step description:

1. Sample information is collected on board using dedicated desktop software. The database produced by this software is then checked by the scientists and transmitted to Sismer for integration into a permanent database. Additional data, such as detailed taxonomic identification, obtained in the laboratory once the campaign is over, can be added from time to time.
