Description
Data Records
The data in this sampling event resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 511 records.
2 extension data tables also exist. An extension record supplies extra information about a core record. The number of records in each extension data table is illustrated below.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.

Sampling Methods
Most of the samples in this dataset were acquired by underwater devices. For information on the sampling description of each cruise, please consult the French Oceanographic Cruises catalog : https://campagnes.flotteoceanographique.fr/search
Study Extent | This dataset is an aggregation of data obtained from various cruises, the study extent varies from cruise to cuise. For information on the study extent of each cruise, please consult the French Oceanographic Cruises catalog : https://campagnes.flotteoceanographique.fr/search |

Method step description:
- Sample information is collected on board using dedicated desktop software. The database produced by this software is then checked by the scientists and transmitted to Sismer for integration into a permanent database. Additional data, such as detailed taxonomic identification, obtained in the laboratory once the campaign is over, can be added from time to time.
Additional Metadata
Purpose | This dataset is an aggregation of data obtained from various cruises. For more information on the context of each cruise, other data acquired during the cruise and associated scientific articles, please consult the French Oceanographic Cruises catalog :https://campagnes.flotteoceanographique.fr/search |

Maintenance Description | Around 2 to 3 cruises are carried out each year. Data are put online two years after their acquisition in the field. |
